Instructions

1. Prepare the Pak Choi:

  • Cut the Pak Choi into three to produce bite-sized pieces.
  • Blanch the Pak Choi for 2 minutes in Boiling Water.
  • The leaves do not need blanching, they will be cooked when fried. Blanching the leaves gives an overly wet and sloppy dish.

2. Prepare the Garlic:

  • Take the Garlic and crush and roughly dice 2 cloves, these will be fried with the Pak Choi.
  • Take the remaining 4 cloves of Garlic and dice them very finely, these will be used to produce the Garlic Sauce.
  • Alternatively, use Minced Garlic from a Jar to make even easier.

Serving Suggestions

Pair this Pak Choi with Garlic Sauce with dishes like Salt and Pepper Chicken, and Steamed Rice for a complete Chinese-inspired feast. It’s also delightful alongside a light soup like egg drop or hot and sour soup.

Pro Tips

  • Don’t Burn the Garlic: At the high heat we are cooking, it is really easy to burn your Garlic. This won’t taste good!
  • Swap the Salt: You can swap the salt out for Soy Sauce for a salty and umami-rich flavor.
